About Us

Language shouldn't be a barrier to healthcare

ReasonTele was founded on a simple observation: millions of patients receive worse care because they don't speak the same language as their provider. We're building the infrastructure to fix that.

Medical professionals collaborating

Why we built ReasonTele

In the United States alone, over 25 million people have limited English proficiency. When these patients enter a telehealth session, they face a compounding problem: not only are they navigating a medical system in a second language, they're doing it through a screen — without the body-language cues and personal presence that help bridge communication gaps in person.

Existing solutions are slow, expensive, and fragmented. Phone interpreters introduce delays and lose context. Bilingual staff are stretched thin. Patients defer care entirely, leading to worse outcomes and higher costs downstream.

ReasonTele takes a different approach. We embed real-time AI translation directly into the video call — no third-party apps, no waiting rooms, no interpreter scheduling. The provider speaks English; the patient hears Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, or any of 13+ supported languages. Live subtitles reinforce comprehension. And our AI Scribe captures the clinical encounter automatically, so the provider can focus on the patient instead of documentation.

We built this as a platform, not just an app. Healthcare organizations integrate ReasonTele through a simple API, embedding multilingual video into their existing EHR workflows. It's HIPAA-compliant by design, self-hostable for maximum data control, and engineered for the latency demands of real-time medical conversation.

Our Values

What we stand for

Patient-First

Every product decision starts with the patient experience. We believe technology should disappear — what remains is a clear conversation between a patient and their provider, regardless of language.

Privacy by Default

We don't treat compliance as a checkbox. End-to-end encryption, zero data retention options, and self-hosting support are built into the architecture — not bolted on after the fact.

Open Infrastructure

We build on open standards and open-source foundations. Our API-first architecture means you own your integrations, your data, and your deployment — no vendor lock-in.
